Music Video [Draft 3]
This is the third draft of our music video. We have improved our second draft and made amendments based on the audience feedback. We re-shot the band scenes and improved the portrait to make it look professional. Although, we have to make amendments for the audio as it needs a higher quality.

Album Advert Moodboard
I have explored various types of album adverts and band imagery in a form of a mood board, in order to inspire me and remind me of what I want my final album advert to look like. I also explored the styles of these different adverts, however, this style sparks my interests the most - having the contrast of dark and light, photo montages, collage and a typical rock/indie band.
The lighting used in these album adverts are in low key or in black & white. I want to incorporate this to my own album advert as the music video is has a very dark fantasy theme to it. I also like the contrasts of shadows and highlights - chiaroscuro as it creates a mysterious and dull vibe to the band imagery.

Digipak Analysis
In this post, I will be presenting my analysis on three different digipaks. The genre of the artists I am exploring are similar to my music video genre which is Indie rock/Rock/alternative rock. The themes and concepts of these digipaks are also closely link to my music video - love, heartbreak, metanoia and rebellion.

Linkin Park Album Advert Analysis
In this post, I analysed three album adverts to find out the codes and conventions needed to create one for myself. I found out that album adverts relating to the genre of our music video (indie rock) focuses on the name of the artist, their number one single, the star image and the release dates.

Youtube Tutorials
Though all members of the group were able to use Adobe Photoshop to some degree, we needed some extra help in order to create the effects we wanted for our music video. In particular, we wanted to make our portrait (the Dorian Gray reference) become increasingly distorted and cracked over time. For that we had to turn to YouTube, where we found a number of tutorials that helped us create the desired effect. Here are two of those tutorials.
For the video itself, we also wanted to add some effects to the love interest in the final shot, in order to make it clearer that she was turned into a vampire. A video cannot be edited in Photoshop, however, so we were introduced to Adobe After Effects, which none of us had used before. Again, we were able to find a video tutorial that enabled us to easily learn what we needed to do.

Monster Music Video [2nd Draft]
In this post, we have improved our first music video drafts and made amendments based on the feedback we have received earlier on. By doing this, the audience will have a clearer outlook on our music video. However, this is just the second draft as we need to re-shoot the band scene and have more references to Dorian Gray.

Audience Feedback
This is a power point presentation addressing the feedback received in reference to the first draft of our music video, including the steps we will be taking in light of the thoughts of our audience.
The most common comment about the:
- Narrative is about the love interest and her role in the music video is unclear to the audience. We will improve this by having the love interest more camera time.
- Camerawork is about there needs to be more angles from the band scene and individual shots of each member in different camera shot and angle. We will improve this by re-shooting the band scenes in different shots and angles.
- Editing is the overall effects are all positive feedback. However, personally, I think we need to create more transitions and video effects to the music video as it will create more atmosphere to the "fantasy" themed video.
- Mise-en-scene has a good and positive feedback on the costume, location and props. However we need to make the band scene livilier, thus re-shooting it.
